Description
Lower Trenna Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 19th century and was modernised in the 20th century. It is constructed of plastered cob on rubble footings, with a rubble or cob stack topped by 20th-century brick, and features a thatched roof. The cottage has two rooms and faces west, with a central axial stack. The front door was relocated from the front to the south end during the 20th-century modernisation. The building is two storeys high and has an irregular front with two windows that contain small 20th-century casements. The roof is hipped on the right side and gable-ended on the left. There is a 20th-century door and an open-sided porch with a thatched roof to the left of the south end, along with a 20th-century casement window to the right and above. The interior has been modernised. The cottage is included in the listing for its group value.
