Description
1 and 2 Finger Lane is a building dating from 1625, likely from the 18th century. It is two storeys high and was originally two cottages that have now been converted into one. The building features a hipped plain tile roof and a stone front. There are three window bays facing Finger Lane; the upper windows are small two-light wooden casements. On the ground floor, there is a small two-light window at the left end, a ledged door in a frame, and a small three-light window at the right end, all with a common lintel above.
This building is part of a group that includes Nos 1, 2, the Gospel Hall, Nos 3 to 6 (consecutive), and the garden wall to Pineska on Acreman Street. Additionally, the east end of No 1 forms a group with all the listed buildings in Abbey Close.
