Description

Fairfields is a two-storey building dating from 1625, located on the southeast side of Long Street. The front is made of stone rubble and features three windows with altered sash windows. It has a new plain tile roof. The central doorway is framed by a wooden doorcase that includes a reeded frieze and a small pediment. To the right of the building, there is a yard entry that leads to a wing at the rear, which formerly included Ivy Cottages. Fairfields is part of a group that includes Digby Estate Nos 271 to 274 (consecutive), Wyekham Cottage, Fernleigh, The Shell, Mistletoe Cottage, The Malt House, Eastfields, Tyndall, Linden, The Cottage, and Corner House.
