Description

This is an 18th-century detached cottage situated in South Perrott village. The walls are built of rubble stone with renewed pointing, and the roof is thatched, half-hipped in style, with two brick stacks set along the ridge. The cottage is one and a half storeys high and has four windows on the front elevation; these are 2-light and 3-light cast-iron casements featuring a lozenge pattern to the lights. These windows have renewed wooden lintels and cills. The upper floor has four eyebrow dormers, each with three lights. A 20th-century front door is located on the south-facing wall, accessed via a small, also 20th-century, porch. The east gable wall reveals an exposed jointed-cruck truss.
