Description

Maple Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the 18th century. It is built of rubble-stone walls with a slate roof, stone-slab eaves and stone gable-copings. A brick stack is located at the right-hand gable and on the rear eaves. The cottage has two storeys and three windows. The ground floor window is a three-light stone mullion with a returned label, and fixed glass lights. The remaining windows are two and three-light wooden casements. A doorway features stone jambs and a straight-chamfered head. Inside, the right-hand fireplace contains a 19th-century iron kitchen range.
