Description
Drive End Cottage is a detached cottage dating from the late 19th century. It features rubble-stone walls with stone dressings and has slate roofs with stone gable copings. A 20th-century brick stack is located at the right-hand gable. The cottage is one and a half storeys tall and has two windows, which are two- and three-light stone mullions, fitted with cast-iron casements that have a lozenge pattern of glazing bars, each with separate labels above. There are two gabled dormers, also with stone gable copings and moulded kneelers, featuring two-light cast-iron casements. The front door is centrally located, framed by stone jambs and topped with a stone label. The door itself is a plank door with ornamental strap hinges, dating from the 19th century. An outhouse is situated at the west end, constructed with rubble-stone walls and a gabled slate roof, and it has a plank door with wood framing.
