Description

This is a cottage and attached coach house located immediately west of the Old Rectory in Melbury Osmond. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and features rubble-stone walls. The cottage has a slate roof with gable ends and is two storeys high, with one window that is a 2-light cast-iron casement with glazing bars. There is a door on the end wall. The coach house is one and a half storeys tall, with its south elevation featuring a 20th-century garage entrance, a plank door, a 2-light casement, and another plank door. The cottage likely provided accommodation for the coachman.
