Description

12 and 14 Fleet Street are two attached cottages, possibly a former coach-house, dating from around 1800. The cottages have rubble-stone walls and a slate roof featuring tile crestings and stone gable-coping on the left side. There are brick stacks at both the left and right gables. The buildings are two storeys high and have three sash windows with glazing bars, stone cills, and rendered surrounds. In the centre, there is a former carriage entrance with rusticated jambs and a depressed rusticated arch-head. This entrance has been divided by a central rusticated pillar from the 20th century to create two front doors, each with individual fanlights above.
