Description
East View consists of two semi-detached cottages built in the early 19th century. They feature dressed stone walls and a thatched roof with gable ends. A renewed brick stack is located at the ridge, in the center of the roof. The cottages are one and a half storeys high and have two windows each, which are cast-iron casements with glazing bars and wood cills. The windows have cambered stone voussoirs, with three-light windows on the ground floor and two-light windows on the first floor. The front doors, located at the left and right ends of the front wall, are plank doors with wood framing, dating from the 20th century. The east cottage has a short rear wing that is also thatched, with gables facing the rear, and features a brick stack on the south wing.
