Description

Riverview Cottages are two semi-detached cottages built in the mid-19th century. They feature rubble-stone walls that are roughcast and have a thatched roof that is half-hipped at both gable ends. There is a shared brick stack at the center of the ridge. The cottages are one and a half storeys tall and each has two windows with three-light cast-iron casements that include lozengy glazing bars. Above, there are half dormers with two-light cast-iron casements. At the front, there are square porches on the left and right, also roughcast, with pitched thatch roofs and cambered entrance arches. The doors are 19th-century planks with one glass light, featuring straight-chamfered jambs and depressed-arch heads.
