Description
The Old Parsonage is a former rectory that has been converted into a private residence. It dates from the mid-19th century and features stone walls that are rendered. The roof is hipped and covered with slate, with boxed eaves. There are two brick stacks, one at the left-hand ridge and another at the right-hand eaves, the latter of which has been rebuilt in the 20th century.
The building is 2½ storeys tall and has three windows along with one additional insertion on the first floor to the south. On the ground floor of the south elevation, there are two square bays located at the left and center, each with two 19th-century sash windows at the front of the bays, which also have hipped slate roofs. The roof features two 20th-century dormer windows that have wooden casements and gabled slate roofs.
On the north wall, there is a bull's-eye window above the front door, which has an oval center and radiating glazing bars. The front door itself has six recessed panels and is topped with a fanlight that also features radiating glazing bars, dating from the 19th century. A wooden porch with a dado of recessed panels and lights above with glazing bars leads to the outer door, which has six top lights. The building is included for its group value.
