Description
The Curate's House is a former curate's residence, now a private dwelling, dating from the early 19th century. It features coursed rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof, which has stone gable copings and moulded kneelers. The building has brick stacks at the gable ends that were renewed in the 20th century. It is two storeys high with attics and has three windows, which are two-light iron casements with lead lights set in wood frames, featuring dressed stone voussoirs from the 19th century. The front door, located at the centre, is flush-panelled and dates from the 20th century.
At the west end, there is an attached outbuilding with rubble-stone walls and a hipped slate roof that has boxed eaves. This outbuilding contains two- and three-light casements and a central plank door. Additionally, there are attached railings on a stone sleeper wall, with the railings topped with ball finials. A gate, designed to match the railings, leads to the front doorway, which is accessed by three stone steps.
