Description
Yeovil Lodge is a detached lodge dated 1887, located on Yeovil Road in Melbury Osmond. It features rubble-stone walls with dressed stone quoins and clay-tile roofs, which have stone gable copings and obelisk finials. The building has a central stone stack with ashlar quoins and is designed in a T-shape, with a lower range to the south, creating a cruciform layout. It is one and a half storeys high with irregular fenestration, including one, two, and three-light straight-chamfered stone mullions, each with separate labels. The iron casements do not have glazing bars. The east end wall showcases a canted bay window with mullions. The front doorway, located on the north end wall, features moulded stone jambs and a depressed arch within a square head, complete with a label and the date above. The door itself is made of planks.
