Description
Bridge Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century, with significant 20th-century changes to its windows and internal layout. The building features coursed rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof with stone gable copings. There are 20th-century brick stacks at the gable ends and on the front gabled chimney breast. The farmhouse is two storeys high with attics. The south elevation has five windows, which are three-light hardwood casements with 20th-century leading. The west elevation has two windows with the same style of casements. The ground floor windows have dressed stone voussoirs. The front door, located on the west elevation, is panelled with a glazed upper half and is also from the 20th century, accompanied by a trellis-work wood porch. The interior has been extensively altered, including the fireplaces, which are from the 20th century, and features some mid-chamfered ceiling beams.
