Description

MELBURY OSMOND ST 5707 TOWN'S END 8/110 Bridge Farmhouse 4.12.51 GV II Detached Farmhouse. Mid C17 with much C20 refenestration and internal re-arrangement. Coursed rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof with stone gable- copings. C20 brick stacks at gable-ends, and on front gabled chimney breast. Two storeys with attics. South elevation has 5 windows, 3-light hardwood casements with C20 leading. West elevation has 2 windows, same casements. Dressed stone voussoirs to ground floor windows. Front door position, on west elevation, panelled and with glazed upper half, C20. Trellis-work wood porch. Interior: much refashioned, including fireplaces, C20. Some mid- chamfered ceiling-beams.
