Description
Chapel Cottage is a cottage that includes a former Meeting House of the Plymouth Brethren, dating from the early 19th century, with some changes made in the 20th century. The building features rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof with gable ends, including two stone-coped gables at the south end. There is a brick stack on the rear south gable. The cottage is one and a half storeys tall and has five windows, which are 2-light 20th-century stone mullions with 20th-century metal casements. To the right of these three windows, there are two fall windows that are cross-transomed with segmental heads, which light the former Meeting House. A plank door, dating from the 20th century, is located left of centre. The rear wall has 2- and 3-light stone mullions with separate labels that have been reused, along with 20th-century lead lights. There is also a rear entrance with a glazed 20th-century door.
