Description
Town's End Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse located in Melbury Osmond, dating from the early 18th century, with a datestone reading T.E.G. 1711 on the south wall. The building was rebuilt and re-roofed in the mid-19th century. It features dressed stone walls and a clay-tile roof with gable ends, along with early 20th-century brick stacks. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows with cast-iron casements that include glazing bars and wooden cills. The ground floor has a three-light window, while the first floor has a two-light window. The front door, located at the center, is a plank door with one glass light, dating from the 20th century. At the rear, there is a wing that includes a four-light wooden mullion window, which is from around the 18th century. An attached outbuilding at the north end has rubble-stone walls and a slate roof, featuring one two-light cast-iron casement and a 20th-century sliding door.
