Description
Wall House is a detached farmhouse dating from the late 17th century. It features squared rubble-stone walls set on a chert-rubble base, topped with a thatch roof that has stone gable copings. There are 20th-century brick stacks at both the left and right gables. The building has two storeys and four windows, which include three-light ovolo-moulded stone mullions with separate labels above. On the left side of the ground floor, there is a four-light window. The front door, located to the right of centre, is a 20th-century plank-and-muntin design within a wooden frame, topped with a wooden lintel. Inside, the farmhouse has two mid-chamfered ceiling beams, one of which features a rare double-stop, billet-and-tongued design. The fireplace has beaded stone jambs and a cambered wooden lintel, dating back to the 17th century.
