Description

Hursey Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse with a 17th-century core and a 19th-century re-fashioning. It has dressed stone walls with a rubble-stone base and a slate roof. Brick stacks are situated at the left-centre of the building and the right-hand gable. The farmhouse is two storeys high with three windows, each a three-light wooden casement featuring horizontal glazing-bars and stone voussoirs. A front door is positioned at the centre, with glass panels, and an outer plank porch door dating to the 19th century. A stone porch with pentice slate roofs is also present. The remains of a stone label are visible on the south gable hall. Internally, there are window-seats with fielded panelling. A mid-chamfered beam with filleted stops is also a feature.
