Description

Common Farmhouse is a detached 17th-century farmhouse situated in Burstock, Hursey. The building is constructed of dressed stone and rubble-stone walls, with a thatched roof. It features two brick stacks, one at the centre of the ridge and another on the rear gable wing. The farmhouse has a L-shaped plan. It is two storeys high. The front range has two sash windows with thin glazing bars, dating to the 19th century. The rear range has two 2-light casements with glazing bars. A flush-panelled front door is set within a wooden frame. A side door has wooden panels and two top lights.
