Description

Valehouse Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse. It is constructed of coursed and squared rubble walls with brick dressings. The roof is thatched, half-hipped to the right and with a gable end to the left. There are two brick stacks, the right-hand one renewed, positioned at the ridge, and a 20th-century brick stack at the rear eaves. The farmhouse has two storeys and four windows, which are wooden casements with three lights and glazing bars. The windows have wooden lintels and cills. The front door has stone jambs with a straight, chamfered edge, under a three-centred archway. Inside, there are deep-chamfered beams and two open fireplaces, one with a depressed-arch wooden lintel. A plank-and-muntin partition is present, with ogee-moulded muntins.
