Description

Manor Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the late 17th century. It features coursed and squared rubble walls with ashlar quoins and has a thatched roof with gable ends, complete with stone gable copings. The brick stacks at the gable ends were added in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building has two storeys and attics, with five windows arranged in a regular and symmetrical pattern. The stone mullions have hollow-chamfers and are topped with a continuous string course that returns at the ends. The windows consist of three, two, two, two, and three lights, and have iron casements with rectangularly leaded and fixed lead lights. There are two casements in the right gable attic window. The front door is centrally located, made of planks with two glazed lights, and dates from the 19th century, as does the gabled porch. There are 19th-century outshuts at either end of the farmhouse.

Inside, the layout includes end rooms with fireplaces and a dog-legged cross-passage at the center, which features a central staircase and a small store room beneath the stairs. The position of the staircase may have been altered since the 17th century. The north and south rooms have mid-chamfered ceiling beams.
