Description

Two attached cottages, dating from around 1700. The walls are a mixture of stone and cob, rendered and whitewashed. The roofs are thatched with gable ends. A 20th-century brick stack is located on the left-hand gable, and a 20th-century stone stack is on the right-hand gable. The cottages have one and a half storeys and four windows. Anvil Cottage has three-light casement windows with wooden sills and older glass. Cob Cottage has two- and three-light casement windows with small panes of glass. The front door to Anvil Cottage is a 20th-century plank door set within wooden framing and is centrally located. The front door to Cob Cottage is a 20th-century door with glass panels, set into a gable wall. A thatched porch canopy shelters the Cob Cottage entrance. A right-angled extension projects from the rear of Cob Cottage.
