Description

Two attached cottages stand on the High Street in Corscombe, dating from the 18th century, with alterations to the windows in the 20th century. The cottages are built of rubble stone with a thatched roof, half-hipped on the left and gabled on the right. There are three brick stacks: one in the left-hand gable, one in the right-hand gable, and a third inserted to the right of centre. The cottages are two storeys high and have five windows in total. The left-hand cottage has 3-light wooden casement windows. The right-hand cottage has 3-light, 20th-century metal casement windows, with the exception of an 18th-century wooden casement at the top. The left-hand cottage has a wooden panelled front door with two top lights. The right-hand cottage has a 20th-century rubble stone porch with a plank door at its centre.
