Description

Summer Cottage and Summer Lane Cottage are two attached cottages built in the mid-17th century, with some changes to their windows. They feature rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof, which has a gable end on the left side and a half-hipped end on the right. There are 20th-century brick stacks, one at the left gable and another at the ridge, slightly right of center. The cottages are two storeys high and have a total of five windows, which include 3-light and 2-light wood casements with glazing bars, all in their original openings. The windows have wood cills and lintels. The entrance to Summer Cottage is located at the left center and has a plank door with one glass light. The entrance to Summer Lane Cottage is towards the right end and features a plank door with a wood frame, dating from the 19th century.
