Description
Nos. 3 and 5 on Fore Street are two attached cottages built in the early 19th century. They feature coursed rubble-stone walls and a slate roof with gable ends and boxed eaves. There is a slight difference in the height of the ridge between the two cottages. Each cottage has brick stacks located at the left-hand gables. The buildings are two storeys tall and have three windows on the ground floor, which are three-light cast-iron casements with glazing bars, while the upper floor has two-light cast-iron casements. The windows are adorned with dressed stone voussoirs. There is a shared outer entrance to the street at the center, which consists of a plank door with wood framing. Inside, there is a central through-corridor between the cottages, featuring flagstone flooring.
