Description

Nos. 373 and 375 on Haslingden Old Road are a pair of cottages built around 1800. They are constructed from water-honed coursed sandstone and feature a stone slate roof with one chimney on the ridge and another at the left gable. The cottages have a double-depth plan, with each cottage consisting of one bay. They are two storeys high, each having a doorway on the right with a plain surround and a slab canopy supported by beaked brackets. Each cottage also has a large stepped triple-light window on both floors. At the rear, the cottages are built very close to a rising bank and include some flush mullion windows.
