Description

EVERSHOT ST 5704 FORE STREET (North side) 7/14 Nos. 6 and 8 11.11.66 GV II Two semi-detached estate cottages, of one build. Later C19. Dressed stone walls and ashlar stone quoins, with chamfered plinth. Slate roof with gable ends. Brick stack at ridge centre, with stone verge and renewed capping. 1 1/2 storeys. Two windows, ovolo-moulded stone mullions with wave-moulded frames, separate returned labels over: 3-light to ground floor, and 2-light to first floor. Iron casements with glazing-bars. The half-dormers have gabled slate roofs and white-painted barge-boards. Doorways, at left and right ends of front wall, with moulded stone jambs and stepped stops. Plank doors, C20. Two rear ranges, slate roofs with stacks on rear gables. 2-light and single-light mullions on gable-ends, along street.
