Description
Nos. 6 and 8 Wild House Lane are two cottages built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. Each cottage has a double-depth plan, consisting of one bay and two storeys. The entrances are located to the right, framed by square-cut surrounds, with a 3-light double-chamfered mullion window to the left of each door. On the first floor, there are 3-light chamfered mullion windows, with the right window having been enlarged to four lights. The original ridge and gable chimney stacks have been removed. Additional 2 and 3-light windows can be found on the left return and at the rear, which also includes a 20th-century window and door opening, along with a two-storey wing.
