Description
Nos. 45 and 47 Dale Street are two houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. Each house is double-depth with one bay and three storeys, and they have quoins at the corners.
The front of each house includes a door on the right with a square-cut surround, a paired sash window on the ground floor, and 6-light flat-faced stone mullion windows on the first and second floors, both with continuous sill bands. There are at least two blocked lights in each case. The eaves gutter is concealed, and there are ridge and gable chimney stacks made of brick.
At the rear, the houses have similar door and window openings, although the ground floor windows have been altered.
