Description
25, 27, and 29 Charles Lane are three houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed from hammer-dressed watershot stone and feature a graduated stone slate roof. Each house is double-depth, has one bay, and stands three storeys tall. The entrance door is located to the right and has a square-cut surround, while to the left is a window that has been replaced with a 20th-century casement, originally a sash. The first and second floors have continuous rows of flat-faced mullion windows, totaling 23 lights, some of which are blind or blocked. The houses have ridge and gable chimney stacks, two of which have been rebuilt in brick. At the rear, there are 3 and 5-light windows, with a small number of the mullions removed.
