Description
No. 10 Fore Street is an attached cottage with a 17th century core that was refashioned in the 19th century and again in the 20th century. The building features stone and chalk-block walls that are rendered, and it has a thatched roof that is attached on the left side and gabled on the right side, with a thatched rear range. There are brick stacks, one at the left gable with renewed 20th century capping and another at the right hand gable from the early 20th century. The cottage is two storeys high and has two windows, which are three-light wood casements with glazing bars and wood cills. The first floor has three-light iron casements with lead lights. The central entrance has a plank door with wood framing and weatherboarding, dating from the 19th century. Inside, there is an open fireplace at the right hand end.
