Description

West Dorset Bird Farm is a farmhouse, formerly known as Council Farm, dating from around 1700. It features rubble-stone walls with a stone plinth and quoins, topped by a thatch roof with stone gable copings. There are stacks at both the left and right gables. The building has two storeys and three windows, which are three-light wooden casements with wooden lintels. In the center, there is a plank door with a wooden lintel, dating from the late 19th century. Inside, the ceilings have slightly chamfered beams. At the right end of the farmhouse, there is a dairy with rubble walls and a thatch roof, which includes two two-light casements.
