Description

Two attached cottages stand on West Street in Abbotsbury. They date back to the 18th century, with later alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. One cottage has rendered walls, while the other has rubble-stone walls. Both cottages share a thatched roof with a gable end facing east. The cottages are two storeys high and have a total of three windows: one on the first cottage and two on the second. The first cottage features wooden casement windows with glazing bars. The second cottage has 20th-century wooden casement windows with a cross-glazing-bar pattern. The ground-floor windows are framed with dressed stone voussoirs. The first cottage has a 20th-century plank door on the right side, and the second cottage has a plank door with a single glass light set into the gable end.
