Description
No 11 is a farmhouse with an attached farmbuilding located on the west side of West Street in Abbotsbury. The house was refaced in the early 19th century, although it likely has an earlier core. The west end of the house was rebuilt in the 20th century to align the eaves with the rest of the building. The structure features rubble-stone walls with dressed stone quoins and a plain tile roof with gable ends. There are brick stacks on the left-hand gable and at the right-hand ridge. The building is two storeys high and has four windows, which are two-light wooden casements with glazing bars. Stone voussoirs are present above the ground floor windows, along with wooden cills. The door, located to the right of centre, is a flush-panelled plank door with two upper lights, framed in wood and featuring dressed stone voussoirs. The attached farmbuilding has rubble-stone walls and a corrugated-iron roof.
