Description

The water outlet, dated 1858, features an arch surround and is located on the north side of West Street in Abbotsbury. It is designed in the form of a lion's head that projects from the ashlar walling. The outlet is framed by three square orders, which include a chamfered plinth and imposts. Above, there is a semi-circular arch also supported by square orders. The front face is finished in ashlar and is topped with a hipped stone coping.
