Description

Upalong is an attached house dating from the mid-19th century. It features random rubble-stone walls that have been re-pointed and a slate roof with stone gable copings and level kneelers. There are brick stacks at each gable, with the eastern stack renewed in the 20th century. The house has two storeys and two windows, which are three-light wooden casements with horizontal glazing bars and keyed stone lintels on the ground floor. There is a blocked upper centre light. The front door, located to the left of centre, is flush-panelled with two upper lights and has a wooden door frame and cornice from the 19th century. The attached outbuilding at the east end is not of special interest.
