Description

The fountain, likely built in the mid-19th century, features flanking walls that create a shallow 'U' shape and stand approximately 8 feet high. The walls are made of tooled ashlar and end in slightly moulded pilasters, which are topped by a cornice. Next to these pilasters are two small, roughly shaped stones, possibly hitching posts. In the center of the main wall, there is a semi-circular arched recess that holds a cast iron lion head, from which water flows into a semi-circular moulded cast iron trough that projects outward. Below this is a sump.
