Description
No. 13 West Street is a farmhouse with an attached barn located on the south side of West Street in Abbotsbury. It was rebuilt in the early 19th century and features a central door position with refenestration. The building has rubble-stone walls and dressed stone quoins, topped with a slate roof that has gable ends. There are 19th-century brick stacks at each gable. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has two windows, which are two-light wooden casements with glazing bars and wooden sills. The windows have keyed stone lintels above them. There is a blocked front doorway at the centre of the house, also with a keyed stone lintel above. The current entrance is a 20th-century door located on the east gable end. The attached barn on the west gable is a single storey with rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof, featuring a far gable end and a central plank stable door.
