Description
No 20 Main Street is a farmhouse from the 18th century, possibly with an earlier core. The main facade is made of brick, while the side elevation and rear wing are constructed from rubble. The building has an L-plan layout, with the main range consisting of two units and a door that is slightly off center. The doorway and ground floor windows feature cambered brick heads, while the upper windows have been renewed. There are gable end stacks.
To the northwest of the house, there is a range of farm buildings. This includes a single-storey structure made of brick with a rubble rear wall, which may have been used as stables. It has various blocked windows and doors. Beyond this is a barn made of rubble with brick dressings for ventilation shafts. Inside the barn, a tie beam roof with angle posts is supported on piers.
