Description

The Former Engine House at Calcutta Pit, built around 1877, is a brick structure topped with a hipped slate roof. Its long facades feature six bays, each with tall windows set in cast-iron frames, which have semicircular arches above them, all within rectangular recesses. There is one large semicircular arched opening on the front and another on the side, both of which are blocked and have brick heads.
