Description
No. 205 Well Street is a farmhouse dating from the early 17th century. It is constructed of painted random rubble and brick, topped with a plain tiled roof that is half-hipped and features a gablet on the right side. The house has a large central brick ridge stack and follows a baffle entry plan. It stands two storeys tall with an irregular three-window front, featuring casement windows. There are small projecting square bays on the ground floor to the left and right, each with pentice roofs; the bay on the right is supported by brackets. The central entrance consists of a boarded and ribbed door with a small window to the right. To the left, there is a lean-to extension from the 17th or 18th century, and a 20th-century extension is located at the rear. Inside, the farmhouse has two chamfered wooden bressumers over the fireplaces and a through purlin roof.
