Description

Dawn Cottage is a single cottage dating from the late 18th century. It features lias rubble-stone walls, some of which are rendered, and has a hipped thatch roof. At the rear, there are two tall brick stacks at the eaves. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows, which are two-light 20th-century wooden casements with glazing bars and wooden cills, topped with simple brick voussoirs. The front door is centrally located, consisting of two leaves with flush panels and two glass lights above, and is sheltered by a wooden pentice canopy. To the right, there is an outshut that is rendered and has a hipped thatch roof, with a two-leaf plank door and one window on either side.
