Description
Box Cottage is a single cottage dating from the late 18th century. It features lias stone walls that are coursed and patched, topped with a thatch roof that is half-hipped on the left side and gabled on the right side. There is a 20th-century brick chimney stack at the right gable. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows, which include two light wooden casements with glazing bars. On the ground floor to the left, there is a small canted bay window that fills a former shop entrance. There is also a 20th-century bay window on the right side at ground level, which is not listed. At the rear, there is a central outshut made of rubble stone, covered by a pentice roof of Roman tiles.
