Description
The George Inn is a public house that dates from the late 17th century and has been modernised. It features rendered stone walls and a thatched roof with a gable end on the right side and block ridging. The ridge of the roof drops over a two-bay 20th-century extension. There are two brick stacks, one at the left-hand party wall and one at the right-hand gable. The building has two storeys and three windows on the original house, which are three-light wooden casements with glazing bars and 20th-century wooden cills. The front door, located at the centre of the original house, is a 20th-century plank door with studs and ornamental hinges. The right-hand extension is also two storeys and has two windows with 20th-century metal casements of four lights. Inside, there is an open fireplace in the left-hand room, although it has been much rebuilt.
