Description

Ashley Dairy Cottage is a single cottage dating from the early 19th century. It features rubble-stone walls and a thatched roof, which is hipped on the left side and gabled on the right. There is a 20th-century brick chimney stack on the left and a 19th-century brick stack at the right gable. The cottage is two storeys high and has three windows, which are two-light cast-iron casements with glazing bars, except for a three-light version on the right side of the ground floor. Each window has segmental dressed stone arches above and wooden cills. The door is located to the right of centre and is a plank door with a wooden frame from the 19th century. There is also a door on the left side that features four glass lights and dates from the 20th century.
