Description

St Luke's Chapel is a 15th-century chapel located in a wooded area at Ashley Chase, Long Bredy. The remains of the chapel include the west gable wall and a fragment of the north-east corner of a rectangular building, measuring approximately 32 feet by 18 feet. The structure features coursed rubble-stone walling with a pointed archway at the center. There are remnants of dressed stone jambs on the inner south face and evidence of bonding at the south-west corner of the nave wall. The inner face of the gable wall is finished with slate stone. The chapel is the burial site of David and Olga Milne-Watson, who lived from 1870 to 1952.
