Description

These are two attached estate cottages located in Long Bredy village. They were built in 1865, as indicated by the date on the front gables. The cottages have walls constructed of coursed rubble stone with dressed stone quoins and window surrounds. They feature slate roofs with steeply-pitched gables to both the front and end walls. Chimneys are situated on the front wall within the valley, and towards the left and right ends, behind the ridge. The cottages are arranged in a T-plan, with a long projection facing the street. Each cottage has one and a half storeys and two windows to the front, featuring sash windows with glazing bars and stone sills. Porches are situated in the angles on each side, each with a steep pentice roof and a round-headed entrance. The plank doors are topped with rectangular fanlights.
