Description
This pair of estate cottages, built around 1860-70, is located 100 yards northeast of Briar Cottage. They are constructed from coursed squared rubble with freestone dressings and quoins, topped with a Cotswold stone slate roof featuring overhanging eaves, decorative bargeboards, and finials at the end and center gables. The cottages are designed in a plain Tudor Gothic style and stand two stories tall, with a layout of one bay, two bays (in the advanced center with two gables), and one bay. The windows are 2- and 3-light casements with chamfered surrounds, and the central two windows display a decorative diamond glazing pattern. The outer bays feature panelled doors beneath open porches that have stone slate roofs.
