Description
Cape Farmhouse and Cape Farm Cottage, along with a wing to the left, are located on Luckington Road in Badminton. The farmhouse and cottage date from the mid to late 17th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. The buildings are rendered and feature a Cotswold stone slate roof with ashlar stacks. The farmhouse is designed in the gabled South Gloucestershire farmhouse style, consisting of a single storey with attics that include three hipped dormers and two steep stone gables on the right side. The ground floor has three windows and two doors, along with an additional window in the projecting wing to the east (left). The windows are a mix of three- and two-light casement styles, and the doors are 20th-century replacements set in projecting gabled porches. The wing to the rear and left, which was formerly a slaughterhouse, and the single-storey cottage to the right, which features a steep stone gable, are also part of the listing.
