Description

These are a pair of estate cottages, dated 1866, as indicated by stone plaques. They are located on Church Green in Ramsey. The cottages comprise two gabled wings. They are two storeys high and constructed of yellow gault brick, with rusticated quoins. The roofs are slate, with patterned ridge tiles and a central stack. The barge boards are pierced and shaped, featuring finials at each gable. The first floor has two horizontally sliding 2-light sash windows with glazing bars, set within cambered arches. The ground floor features two similar 3-light windows. Side entrances have plank doors and rectangular fanlights. The cottages are listed for their prominent position on the green.
